Choose a cut style for Austin artist merchandise
Compare the outside shape and the backing
Die-cut stickers have an outer edge shaped to the artwork. Kiss-cut stickers leave a larger backing around the peelable design, which can give a customer more to hold while peeling. Neither cut style alone determines the adhesive or durability of the printed material.
If the illustration has thin projections or many tiny edges, ask the design team to simplify the cut outline while preserving the printed detail. An intricate picture does not need an equally intricate cut path.
Keep variants and signatures intentional
Separate colorways, signatures and limited-run wording before setting quantities. Look at each version at the finished size so a signature or credit line does not disappear into the border.
Confirm the selected material, finish and cut line in the free proof. A transparent image file does not by itself mean a clear sticker; choose the material option that matches the result you want.
Plan around proof approval and delivery
Vinyl Status provides a free online proof and free design help. Check the artwork version, spelling, dimensions and cut shape, and request changes before approving. Time spent preparing or revising the proof comes before production.
Production takes 2 business days after proof approval. Shipping time is additional; review the options for your delivery address at checkout. Free shipping is available on orders $100+.
